| Me from an STS photoshoot |
I studied at Woking College, starting 2009 and finishing 2012, I took a third year at college to pursue my media courses further and to have a better overview on which university to attend after college. Whilst at Woking College I studied Media Studies A-Level, Film Studies A-Level and OCR National Certificate in Media Production, as well as Music Technology A-Level and Electronics A-Level. I studied Media at GCSE level at Winston Churchill School. Before college I had no academic history with music, instead I joined a band and learned bass for the band, with the contacts I made through the band I earnt a job as a Sound and Light Technician at a local venue and also a Recording Technician at a Youth Club.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped to develop and hone my skills, guiding and supporting me throughout my studies and hardships. I'd like to thank Mrs Payne from Winston for introducing me to Media Studies and developing my basic skills. A big thanks goes to the teaching staff at Woking College, Sophie, Lorna, Sarah, Steph and Arran each helped to guide me through my A Levels and provided me with plenty of opportunities to develop and improve my talents, with their help my enthusiasm for Media grew and I was able to create products with the peak of my ability.
Second to Teachers I have to thank all of the friends that I have worked with over the years, working with them has been incredibly fun and I've learnt from all my experience. Thank you to Bryony, Bo (Bubbles), Jack G, Nathan, Aron, Lee, Evie, Linzi, Danny, Jess and Tahira, who I had the pleasure of working with throughout my OCR Media course, they made my third year of college such a fun experience and meant that I could create some of my best work. I'd like to thank Rob who I worked with in A-Level Film Studies to create our short film, his artistic and dramatic influence allowed me to create a more artistic product which we both enjoyed.
Above all else I'd like to thank my best friend Jack Reynolds, who I have worked alongside since GCSE and although we didn't agree most of the time, we worked incredibly well together. A slight competitive streak between us meant we would always strive to be better than the other and as such we always worked to our fullest potential. He will do well in his life and I hope I have the pleasure of working with him in a professional manor in the future.
I hope you enjoy my hard work,
Chip James
